Chia Seeds
Black and white chia seeds, Grade A or B.
Black chia is the higher-volume line and what most retail and supplement buyers default to; white chia is a distinct variety, slightly milder in flavor, bought mainly by brands positioning a premium or visually differentiated product. Nutritionally the two are close enough that most buyers choose on appearance and price rather than composition.
Grade A is cleaned to a tight purity standard for direct retail packaging; Grade B carries marginally more foreign matter and is priced for buyers milling or blending rather than packing as-is.
Grades available
- Grade A
- This is the highest quality grade of chia seeds, which are uniform in size, color, and texture, and free from impurities and debris.
- Grade B
- This grade of chia seeds is slightly lower in quality than Grade A and may contain some debris or discolored seeds. However, it is still suitable for consumption.
Varieties available
- Black chia seeds
- This is the most common variety of chia seeds in India, with a dark black color and a mild, nutty flavor.
- White chia seeds
- This variety of chia seeds has a lighter color than black chia seeds and a slightly milder flavor. These are chia seeds that are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other chemicals. They are often considered to be of higher quality and more environmentally friendly than conventionally grown chia seeds.
