Dried Black Currants
Zante, Blackdown, Ben Alder and Baldwin dried black currants, Grade A or B.
Zante currants are technically a small dried grape rather than a true currant, but the name has stuck across the trade and it's our highest-volume line here — used heavily in baking. Blackdown, Ben Alder and Baldwin are true black currant varieties, more tart, and bought mainly by buyers making jams, syrups or juice concentrate rather than baking directly with them.
If your use case is baking, ask for Zante specifically; if it's juice or preserve manufacturing, the true black currant varieties are the better fit and we'll quote accordingly.
